On Kay's pillow is a folded piece of paper (lined, it looks like it's out of a notebook) with a tiny hand-print in purple ink. Beneath it, in a neat scrawl, are the words:
"Happy Mother's Day!"
with several hearts and a few stars.
Inside, in the largest print, is written:
"From all of us to both of you Congratulations on getting through
Happy mom's day, sweetie! ~Fa"
and in smaller, more crabbed writing
"I don't know why Fa's making me sign this thing, but here's something, I guess. I'm damned proud of you, Kay. I'd write more, but you know, the sleep thing. Love Agate"
There seem to be other scribbles here, from whomever Fa could find to sign the inside of the card.((Aka, if you have something mothers-day-ish to write, IC, then go for it! ))

In extremely hastily scribbled, barely legible text:
I don't know what's scarier. The fact that you're actually having a baby, or the fact that Agate of all people pulled it off. Ah well. It's Malton. Scarier stuff has happened. ~ Simplish (DON'T KILL ME PLEASE!)
And in even less legible text:
Glibble glooble flippen hiven! Teach that kid to deal with our random insanity or the kid may end up saying that! ~ Hypno The Ninja

K, I have seen a lot of people do amazing things in these two years, but I think what you've done is the most wonderful thing that somebody in this city could do. Thank you for letting me sign a mother's day card this year. Your friend always, Mock
(the first few words of a sentence have been entirely and excessively scribbled over. Then, underneath) TOGHEST CHICK I KNOW YOU F*CKIN ROCK RED -E

(( wait one more...been trying to get this up for three hours))
Hey Kay.Well done on the new arrival.Thought I'd give you a poem that fits the occassion...slightly.
Mondays child is fair of face, Tuesdays child is full of grace, Wednesdays child is full of woe, Thursdays child has far to go, Fridays child is loving and giving, Saturdays child works hard for his living, And the child that is born on the Sabbath day Is bonny and blithe, and good and gay.
